A few days ago, Mbappe officially announced his farewell to PSG at the end of the season. The confrontation with Toulouse in round 33 of the French Championship (Ligue 1) on the morning of May 13 was the last time he appeared for the club at home stadium Parc des Princes.

In the stands, PSG fans unfurled beautiful banners to say goodbye to this star. However, others reacted by booing when his name was announced before the match.

Despite mixed reactions in the stands, Mbappe still took the field and soon shined. In the 8th minute, he escaped into the open and passed goalkeeper Restes to score the opening goal.

After VAR finished checking to determine there was no offside, Mbappe smiled brightly and pointed to the stands to celebrate with the fans.

However, his farewell day was not complete. The goal was the only mark he and his teammates could create. Toulouse rose strongly to come back to win 3-1. The players who scored for them were Thijse Dallinga (13th minute), Yann Gboho (68th minute) and Frank Magri (90+5 minutes).

This loss only affected Mbappe’s farewell party at Parc des Princes, but did not affect PSG because they won the championship a few rounds ago. After the match, the Parc des Princes home team also lifted this season’s Ligue 1 championship trophy.

Mbappe has played for PSG since 2017 and after 7 years with him, he is the player who scored the most goals in the club’s history with more than 255 “shots”.

After saying goodbye, Mbappe’s next destination will almost certainly be Real Madrid Club.
