OFFICIAL! Kylian Mbappe won the award for the fifth time in a row

Kylian Mbappe was named France’s footballer of the year on Monday at an awards ceremony in Paris.

The 25-year-old player received the Ligue 1 Best Player award at the awards gala of UNFP (French players’ federation). This is the 5th consecutive time Kylian Mbappe has won this title after scoring 44 goals in all competitions for PSG.

This title makes PSG fans even more regretful because not long ago, Mbappe also confirmed that he would leave the capital team when his contract expired in June.

 Mbappe won the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award.

During the awards ceremony, Mbappe said: “It’s a turning point, a chapter of my life is about to close. Ligue 1 will always occupy an important place in my life. It’s the only tournament I known in his career so far.”

“I always tried to be an honorable representative of this tournament. I will definitely miss it. It was a part of my life, but it is coming to an end. What is going to happen will be very interesting but that It’s still hard to predict,”  he added.

PSG has two more Ligue 1 matches to play this week and a French Cup final against Lyon on May 25.
