A few years after their high-profile divorces from Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, respectively, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are going strong!
The couple — who has been discreetly dating for over a year — were spotted together in Manhattan on June 11, almost two years after their former GMA3 co-anchors ex-spouses made headlines when their romance was publicly uncovered in November 2022.
At the time, Holmes, 46, and Robach, 51, were each married to their respective partners.
Shue and Fiebig’s relationship was revealed last December. They were first spotted together at JFK Airport in NYC on Jan. 27.
“Initially, they had no interest in each other, but bonded over the trauma from their respective breakups,” a source told ET at the time.
“Andrew and Marilee are taking things slow in their new romance, and trying to lay low in the midst of their very public breakups. The two find solace in one another, and have enjoyed getting to know each other away from the noise,” the source explained.
Another source added, “Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig’s relationship has surprised some close to those involved. But the relationship is not surprising because of the two’s close bond as-of-recent, both leaning on each other in times of need, as well as their shared ideals. The two continue to stay under the radar and enjoy each other’s company.”
In January 2023, Holmes and Robach exited their roles at GMA3 and received compensation packages. Then, in May 2023, ABC News announced Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan as the new hosts of Good Morning America‘s third hour.
Robach and Shue finalized their divorce in March of that same year, while Holmes settled his divorce from Fiebig in October 2023.
Robach is the mother of two adult daughters — Ava and Annie — from her first marriage to Tim McIntosh. Holmes, meanwhile, shares an 11-year-old daughter, Sabine, with Fiebig, as well as daughter Brianna and son Jaiden from his first marriage to Amy Ferson.
Despite their relationships being out in the open, both couples have been navigating the complexities of their newfound romances.
Both Holmes and Robach have doubled down on the fact that they were not cheating on their spouses, and that they were in the process of getting a divorce. During the first episode of their iHeartRadio podcast, Amy & T.J., Robach claimed that Shue had moved out of their shared home “months before” the news of their relationship broke. Holmes said he was photographed at the apartment he resided in by himself after he and Fiebig separated.
During an emotional January episode of their podcast, Holmes and Robach admitted that things “ain’t right” in their relationship. After the episode was released, the pair wanted to clarify that there is no cause for alarm and they were still a couple.
“We’re still together :),” the caption read on an Instagram post. “If you’ve already listened to today’s episode on Amy and T.J., you’ll understand! If you haven’t, click the link in my bio to hear for yourself and let us know how you handle communication and conflict in your relationships! #linkinbio #relationships #communication #amyandtjpodcast.”
In a video shared next to the caption, the former anchors set things straight.
“Hey folks,” Holmes said as he walks arm-in-arm with Robach. “Just wanted to check in and let you know that despite what you’ve been hearing, we are still together. Our latest episode of the podcast was something we really struggled with and debated about whether or not we should put it out there but at this point I’m glad we did.”
