Aaron Rodgers Boosts Fans’ Excitement Walking to Jets’ Locker Room Unaided

Aaron Rodgers was once again in attendance at MetLife Stadium for the Jets’ Week 9 matchup with the Chargers on Monday night.

The 39-year-old was in the building a few hours before kickoff and fans were delighted to note that he was no longer cruising around on a cart, but instead was walking around on foot.

Despite sustaining a ruptured Achilles tendon on his first drive as the quarterback in New York, Rodgers has maintained that he is hopeful to return this season. Reports indicate that he’s well ahead of schedule in his recovery from the injury.

Rodgers barely appeared to be limping as he walked into the Jets’ locker room, giving a smile and a quick wave to the camera before going through the door. During his previous appearances at New York’s games, Rodgers has been seen getting around the stadium on a cart.

In early October, he was spotted on the sideline before a game using crutches. Last week, before the Jets’ clash against the Giants, he was seen walking on the field and even dropping back and throwing passes.

It’s not yet been two months since Rodgers sustained the Achilles injury against the Bills on Sept. 11, but it appears that his recovery progressing extremely quickly.

During a previous appearance on the Pat McAfee Show in October, Rodgers said that his surgery, performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, was a “newer, innovative surgery.”

He’s been adamant about his desire to play again this season, and to see him ditching the cart and walking around the stadium under his own power is certainly an encouraging sign.
