Tiger Woods exposes his gruesome leg scars from life-threatening car crash as he watches son Charlie play golf

A photo has emerged of Tiger Woods without a leg sleeve after his car crash three years ago.

The legendary golfer suffered  ‘horror’ crash in Los Angeles in 2021 that left him with a shattered right leg and doubts hanging over whether he will be able to play golf again.

Now fit and back playing, however, Woods was snapped without a cover on his right leg, which he broke in the crash, revealing the extent of the injury he suffered.

In a photo shared to the Blake Bunders Golf Instagram page, captioned: ‘The big cat was prowling around Oakland Hills like he owned the place,’ Woods could be seen stood on the grass of a golf course.

On his right leg, a big scar that threatened to end his career could be seen, persumably as a result of the crash over three years ago, with Woods wearing shorts rather than trousers or a leg sleeve.

Woods was involved in a ‘life-threateneing’ car crash in 2021 when he lost control of his vehicle

The accident took place around 7.15am on February 23, 2021, as Woods was on his way from the five-star Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes where he was staying to the Rolling Hills Country Club where he was due to film for GolfTV.

Woods took a rented Genesis GV80 luxury SUV for the 10-mile journey, and left the resort shortly after 7am, according to a crew member of TV shown ‘Grown-ish’ which was filming at the resort where Woods was staying.

Oliver Konteh, part of the TV crew filming Grown-ish, told TMZ that Woods ‘took off fast’ and almost hit another car belonging to the ‘Grown-ish’ director as he left the parking lot, just after 7am.

A front door camera then captured Woods driving at normal speed around 7.05am along Hawthorne Boulevard, around five miles south of the spot where he would later crash.

Around 7.15am Woods lost control on a downhill stretch of the road, smashed through a road sign and rolled his car several hundred feet in a horror smash that police said he was ‘lucky to survive’ the ordeal, which he has since kicked on from.

It was the same in the US Open and PGA Championship earlier this year, after he finished way off the lead in The Masters.

He has not won a major in golf since 2019, when he lifted The Masters title.
