The 76ers Wanted Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, And A Pick To Trade Tobias Harris To Cavaliers

When it comes to trades, it makes sense for the negotiating GM to ask for as many assets from the opposing team as possible. However, sometimes it seems as though teams ask for ridiculous returns on their players.

A recent report from Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer revealed that the Philadelphia 76ers have an outrageous asking price for Tobias Harris, with the team reportedly asking for Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, and a draft pick to move him to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“Last week, sources told The Inquirer the Sixers are overvaluing Harris and asking for “outrageous packages in return.” That goes in line with what a source said the Sixers told the Cavs what it would take days before the draft: A package of Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, and a draft pick.”

Though Tobias Harris is a great player, it is clear that he is not worth that return, especially since he is on an expiring contract. It is quite likely that the Cleveland Cavaliers won’t part with Allen and Mobley to get Harris, and this was obviously just a negotiating tactic from the 76ers.

This season, Tobias Harris averaged 14.7 PPG, 5.7 RPG, and 2.5 APG for the Philadelphia 76ers. He has been a key part of the team for the last few seasons, though it is quite possible that he’ll get traded this year.

Philadelphia 76ers Could Target Kyrie Irving Or Damian Lillard If James Harden Leaves The Team

Tobias Harris will make $39.2 million this season, and that makes his contract a natural fit in a trade for a star-level player. In fact, a previous report revealed that he will be part of the Philadelphia 76ers’ attempts to trade for Damian Lillard or Kyrie Irving.

“If James Harden leaves, expect the Philadelphia 76ers to attempt to trade for Damian Lillard or Kyrie Irving. Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris will be involved in both trades.”

It will be interesting to see whether the Philadelphia 76ers will end up trading for either Damian Lillard or Kyrie Irving. Those players would definitely be good additions to the team, but it is likely that the team prefers to retain guard James Harden due to his great fit with Joel Embiid.
