NFL legend Tom Brady has been an inspiration for many young stars. Ever since his debut in the league in 2000, he has won millions of hearts. Though he was the 199th pick of the New England Patriots, he turned out to be their No. 1 player. However, it seems like the person who has inspired many, himself, has a “hero”.

Back in 2017, on Super Bowl Opening Night, the world saw Tom Brady on the verge of crying. It happened when a 7-year-old kid asked the quarterback a question. “Many people say you’re their hero, but who’s your hero?” the boy asked the Patriots star. Though Brady began answering with a smile, he got emotional eventually, stopping mid-way.

“Who’s my hero? Great question. Well, I think my dad is my hero because he’s someone that I look up to every day and uh… my dad,” Brady said.

Someone recorded the moment and posted it on social media and it soon went viral. It seemed like the NFL star was going to speak more about his dad, but couldn’t. The video clearly shows that Brady had tears in his eyes but somehow controlled himself.

The effect the question had on Tom Brady highlights how important his father was to him. He must have had a great connection with his “hero”, and it was evident in his answer. People have seen the 7-time Super Bowl winner crying many times, but this was different.

Who is the father of Tom Brady?

Tom Brady was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 to Thomas Brady Sr. and Galynn Patricia. The star quarterback’s relationship with his father has reportedly been quite good. Brady Sr. was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in May 1944 and is of Irish descent. Reports suggest that the NFL star’s paternal great-grandparents were refugees who came to San Francisco during the Great Famine.

The father of the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback owns an insurance company in California. He tied the knot with Brady’s mother in April 1969. According to reports, the parents of Tom Brady have been his biggest supporters throughout his life.  Brady Sr. and Patricia used to attend almost every match when the quarterback played in the league.

The NFL legend’s father himself revealed that it’s him who has filled Tom Brady with competitiveness. Brady’s parents were there in his last match as well, which the quarterback eventually lost to the Dallas Cowboys. However, irrespective of the results, Brady’s father and mother always supported him.

Considering the way his father has been, it’s no surprise that Tom Brady got emotional while talking about him. The NFL Hall of Famer is quite lucky to have a “hero” figure in his father who inspires him.
