Persian buttercup, or garden ranunculus as it is more generally known, is a member of the family Ranunculaceae and grows from a corm to a height and width of 1 to 2 feet. Sandy, loamy, and well-drained soils with a slightly acidic pH are ıdeal growıng conditions for this plant. White, pink, yellow, purple, red, and orange are just few of the hues represented by these spring and summertime blossoms. Persian buttercups are hardy in USDA plant hardiness zones 8 through 11, where they thrive in their native Mediterranean, Southwest Asian, and Southwest European habitats.
