Hugh Jackman is on the move. After listing his modern NYC triplex for $55.9 million earlier this year, Jackman has now bought a similar property but in another part of town. According to Dirt, the Australian actor has recently bought a West Chelsea penthouse for $29.7 million ($21.1 million USD).
The four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom property is within a building designed by Pritzker Prize-winning French architect Jean Nouvel. The minimalist apartment was initially listed in October for $35 million ($25 million USD), yet Jackman managed to successfully pay quite a bit under the asking price.
With 360-degree views of Manhattan and the Hudson River, this home is truly spectacular. Four metre high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows work together to create a light, bright and airy space. Featuring original terrazzo floors and a marble staircase, no expense was spared when it came to the decor.
Despite being a significant downsize in their previous property, we can see what attracted Jackman and his wife Debora-Lee Furness to the property.
