Stephen Curry Made A Hilarious Cameo With Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson And Ayesha Curry

Stephen Curry made a cameo appearance alongside The Rock and Ayesha Curry in a 2017 episode of ‘Ballers’.

Stephen Curry is not just the greatest shooter in NBA history, he’s one of the most popular athletes of his generation. While Curry has been focused on hoops primarily, he has built a massive brand by making commercial appearances in advertisements and even on TV shows.

One of his most memorable cameos came opposite Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on the Adam Levinson-created show ‘Ballers’. Steph appears alongside his wife, Ayesha Curry, on the season opener for Season 3 which aired in 2017.

The Rock is trying to sign Steph as a client and arranges a meeting with Curry over a phone call as the Curry’s are headed out for a vacation. Curry’s cameo ends with him telling Ayesha that he wants to get her in the mile-high club, while The Rock talks glowingly about how they could build their entire basketball division around a star like Curry.

How Stephen Curry Met Ayesha Curry

The clip is just one of the many instances of Steph and Ayesha being proud of their relationship and not shying away from expressing their love on camera. It has been a high-profile relationship for years which has at times brought fan criticism upon the pair. But the story of how they met is incredibly cute, as they were both 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren who were yet to become the figures they are in their respective fields.

“I met Ayesha, junior year of high school, at our church youth group. So we didn’t go to the same high school. Didn’t really date, we’re in the same circle of friends and then dated about three or four years later, and the rest is history. ”

The pair have known each other since they were both teenagers, getting married in 2011. Years after that, Curry would establish himself as one of the greatest players to step onto the court and Ayesha has been with him every step of the way. They have three 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren together, Riley, Ryan, and Canon, building a very strong family.

Stephen Curry Is A Global Brand By Himself

Stephen Curry was appearing on shows like ‘Ballers’ because he’s arguably the second-most popular NBA athlete of the last decade. Many would argue that Curry could be more popular than LeBron James himself, and Curry has made the most of his extensive public profile.

Curry has made $302 million from his NBA career so far, with $162.7 million more expected to be paid out over the course of the next three years by the Golden State Warriors. NBA salaries are bigger than ever, but Curry’s deal with Under Armour is also going to line his pockets. While he hasn’t been able to make his shoes as popular as Jordan Brand, he is looking to carve out his own space in the sneaker market with Under Armour.

Even though people have told Curry to get rid of Under Armour before, Curry has stayed headstrong and profited to the tune of a billion-dollar contract. It is a similar contract to the one LeBron has with Nike and ensures that Curry will be on the path to becoming the third NBA billionaire behind Michael Jordan and LeBron.
