Taylor Swift caused a total fan frenzy as she arrived at the massive premiere for her highly-anticipated The Eras Tour Concert Film in the heart of Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
The 12-time Grammy winner, 33, shutdown The Grove LA shopping center to host over 2,200 of her most devoted Swifties, who she ‘handpicked’ to get a first-look at the concert footage on the big screen.
Swift was the epitome of chic as she posed on the red carpet in a blue $12,000 Oscar de la Renta gown before taking her seat inside one of 14 sold-out screening rooms inside the outdoor mall’s AMC movie theater.
An insider at the event tells DailyMail.com: ‘The fans went crazy the second she arrived, screaming and chanting her name.
‘Taylor was in really high spirits and was so thrilled to see so many of her fans turn out for the night. She looked like she was having the best time ever.’
The film documents one of the six sold-out shows Swift performed at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California over the summer as part of her ongoing Eras Tour, which kicked off in March and serves as a retrospective of her 17-year career.
It has already amassed a whopping $100million in presale tickets alone and will be available to watch exclusively at AMC Theatres starting Friday, October 13.
Missing from the fan-packed action was Swift’s rumored beau Travis Kelce, 34, as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is scheduled to play the Denver Broncos on Thursday at his team’s home stadium. But a source told TMZ that Swift will be in the stands cheering on the NFL hunk during the big game in Missouri.
She teamed her powder blue dress with a pair of open-toed heels that gave her already statuesque frame a boost.
Swift rocked bold blue eyeshadow paired with her signature ruby red lip and cateye flick combo.
Swift rocked a dazzling diamond choker necklace with matching earrings for the monumental occasion.
The Lover singer’s dirty blonde curls were worn in a chic faux bob that hugged her chiseled jawline.
Along with her glamour shots, Swift also posed for photos with the film’s director Sam Wrench.
Another source dished to DailyMail.com that ‘the Swifies went all out’ as ‘lots were dressed up as her from iconic music videos and were having the time of their lives.’
The insider added that Taylor brought along members of her band and back-up dancers to the event.
Ahead of the screening, Swift spoke to the sea of fans that filled the movie theater about how ‘special’ it was to ‘capture the memories of this tour.’
She also revealed that she’d personally selected each of the 2,200 fans in attendance.
You’ve all been handpicked to be at this premiere, did you know that?’ said the hitmaker as she stood at the front of the theater in front of the big screen. ‘Ok good I’m glad that’s not weird for you because i do like to watch what you guys are up to.
‘This tour and this amazing capturing of the moment and the memories that was this tour in the US… it’s still going it’s not past tense, we’re still doing it,’ she continued.
‘The capturing of the memories of this tour it was so special because of what you brought to it, you’re passion, your sense of humor, your attention to detail, the amount that you prepared for it the amount that you cared about it.
‘That is what i hope you get from this – how much you brought this tour to life.’
Swift gushed that she is ‘so proud of the band and dancers and everyone who went on stage and gave 100 per cent no matter what they were going through in their lives – in sickness and in health – we did our show.
But the reason we were able to is because of what we knew we were walking out and getting to dance with and look at and sing with, which was you.
She then thanked her devout fans for ‘wanting to be here on this really, really, really unbelievably special night’ and for ‘doing all the extra stuff that you did that made us notice you to invite you to this.
‘I see you, I love you, I hope you like it!’ the Cardigan singer concluded.
Swift wasn’t the only one who got gussied up for Wednesday’s big premiere in the City Of Angels.
It proved to be a star-studded function as the likes of Flavor Flav, Mariska Hargitay, Maren Morris, Molly Sims, Simu Liu, Jenna Davis and Violet McGraw hit the red carpet.
Flavor Flav — who has been a vocal supportive of Swift’s and attended one of her Eras Tour stops this year — oozed confidence on the red carpet rocking one of his signature clock chains among other shiny pieces of jewelry.
Mariska famously appeared in Swift’s Grammy Award-winning music video for her hit Bad Blood in 2015, which also snagged Video Of The Year at the MTV VMAs among other awards.
She played the role of villainess ‘Justice’ alongside the likes of Cara Delevingne, Selena Gomez and Karlie Kloss.
She was photographed Wednesday hugging fans inside the theater and snapping some photos of her own of the epic merchandise and decor.
Ahead of her arrival, Swift shared her excitement and announced that the ‘unprecedented demand’ for tickets has led to an on slot of ‘early access showings’ starting Thursday in the U.S. and Canada.
‘We’re also adding additional showtimes Friday and throughout the weekend. All tickets will be available by 10am tomorrow morning. And it’ll be showing starting Friday in 90 countries all over the world,’ the star continued.
She went on to thank her devout fans and teased that she was already ‘in the car’ en route to the big premiere in LA.
‘I can’t thank you enough for wanting to see this film that so vividly captures my favorite adventure I’ve ever been a part of: The Eras Tour. And the best part is, it’s an adventure we’re still on together. Getting in the car now…’ she wrote.
Swift included a picture of herself in her Oscar de la Renta gown taken from the waist up with her post .
