Kylian Mbappe wanted 100% of his image copyright when signing with Real, but the royal team did not agree with that.

Real Madrid could begin negotiations with Kylian Mbappe over a contract before the January transfer window opens. Both sides are looking for common ground, the main problem is said to be the topic of image copyright.

According to Meritocracia Blanca’s Andres Martinez , the 24-year-old has one request: he will own 100% of his image rights.

In 2022, Real Madrid reached an agreement with this player, in which Mbappe holds 80% of the image rights, while Real Madrid holds 20%. That is the plan offered for Kylian Mbappe to compensate for his salary reduction when leaving Paris Saint-Germain  .
