Taylor Swift hasn’t won us over with an outfit outside of the red carpets where we’re used to seeing her thrive in a long time. Taylor returned in style, dressed in a very’sixties’ and dangerous attire. As a break from her ‘Stadium’ tour, the singer went out for a drink with some pals in Tribeca (New York). She chose a striped floral shirt dress, round John Lennon-style glasses, and beige maxi over-the-knee boots to complete her look.

Aside from how much we adore the outfit and how good everything looks on the artist, the question we should ask is: summer dresses + boots? When we see Taylor, we say YES because we adore how she styled her look, but over-the-knee boots for summer seem too much to us, so we’d rather wear cut-out boots or flat ankle boots with our most beautiful flowery dresses. Above all, boots with floral dresses are an excellent choice for visiting festivals, and the combination of the ultra-feminine style of flowery dresses and the more country, rock, or grunge style of some boots is ideal.

Taylor’s dress is from Faith Connection and costs around the same as ten gowns in our closet, so we set out to find a less expensive equivalent of the singer’s stunning gown.
