Anyone thinking about buying a home in California should pick up the phone and give LeBron James a call. An affordable home is waiting for you.
Ahead of his 17th All-Star Game appearance, LeBron James has decided to put his Brentwood, California, home up for sale. The LA Lakers star is likely to accept a bid of “only” $20.5 million, $400,000 less than he paid for it.
LeBron bought this property in 2015. The 9,000-square-foot mansion has 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a movie theater, a gym, a swimming pool, and a full-size basketball court right next to the garage. This is also the rare time the 36-year-old star lost money on his first investment.

James’ first Brentwood home is located on the famous Rockingham Street, not far from the former home of NFL star OJ Simpson, where his ex-wife Nicole Brown was shot to death. LeBron’s home was also spray-painted with the word N**** on the front gate in 2017.
Right in Brentwood, the 4-time NBA Champion also has another mansion located in Hollywood Hills, measuring nearly 1,400 square meters. LeBron James bought the house for $23 million when he first joined the Lakers in 2018, but its value has increased to $52 million at present.
The house was valued at $23 million at one point, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused LeBron James to lose money.
As of now, LeBron James owns four mansions, including one in his hometown of Ohio, two in Brentwood, and his newest home in Beverley Hills. Last July, the Lakers player spent $39 million to buy the mansion of legendary film producer Lee Philip Bell.
This is the second time the 36-year-old star has put the mansion up for sale. In 2014, after leaving the Miami Heat to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, he quickly said goodbye to the Florida property.
The house was built in 2011.
LeBron James’s total assets are estimated to be close to $1 billion and are expected to grow rapidly. In terms of salary alone, he will receive approximately $125 million from the Lakers over the next three seasons.
Real estate is not LeBron James’ only investment. The 36-year-old star also invests in entertainment, food, education… and most of them bring in huge profits.
