Steph Curry, an NBA player, has a $1 billion business enterprise and owns a premier production firm

NBA legend has signed his first pro athlete to the Curry Brand

NBA superstar Steph Curry is in the driving lane to become a billionaire thanks to a lucrative new deal with Under Armour.

The Golden State Warriors legend recently signed a new long-term partnership with the sportswear brand, in which he will become president of his own Curry Brand.

According to Rolling Stone, the potential lifetime contract is worth potentially more than $1 billion when annual base pay, stock equity, royalties on signature products, and on-court incentive bonuses are tallied.

The deal includes $75 million worth of shares in Under Armour.

Curry has already earned $350 million in his NBA career so far – and he is due to pocket $470 million by the end of his current contract in the 2025-26 season.

He also earned millions more thanks to his previous contract with Under Armour plus endorsements from the likes of Google, JPMorgan Chase, Rakuten, and CarMax.

In addition, Curry has his own production company in Unanimous Media, which has included a multi-part Apple TV+ documentary on the NBA star, the ABC golf entertainment show Holey Moley, as well as books and podcasts.

For all of Curry’s earnings so far, his deal with Under Armour promises to be the most lucrative – and by a long distance.

The Curry Brand is Under Armour’s answer to Nike’s Jordan Brand.

“I couldn’t imagine Under Armour without Stephen, or Stephen without Under Armour,” the company’s founder Kevin Plank said.

With Curry’s new deal set to extend beyond his playing career, much of the focus going forward will be on signing athletes as Curry Brand endorsers.

Last month, Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox signed as the first signature athlete of the Curry Brand in a multiyear deal.

Meanwhile, UConn women’s hoops standout Azzi Fudd has an NIL deal with the brand.

“We’re going to have an investment in the roster of athletes – men and women, from various sports – that want to be a part of the UA and Curry Brand family,” Curry added.

“That’s where I think the biggest growth can come.”

Should Curry become a billionaire he would join legends such Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Tiger Woods in achieving this elite status.

Former Warriors teammate Kevin Durant is also on course to become a billionaire.
