Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL League announces top ball tracking partner ahead of 2025 debut

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports is set to launch a one-of-a-kind TGL league on January 7, 2025. The innovative golf league will combine high-stake competition with the industry’s most advanced technology.

The series will take place at the SoFi center in Florida and feature golf’s best players. Woods and McIlroy have recently announced a new partner for the TGL league. The industry-dominating Toptracer, will join the league as the Official Ball-Tracing Partner.

As the TGL will be played via simulators and launch monitors, the technology that Toptracer will bring into the league is sure to create a great environment for players and spectators. The company will use camera sensors to track the golfers’ ball flights and shot shapes in drives, iron shots, and approach shots.

Not only will the technology provide ball flight patterns, it will also give predictive data via TGL’s data engine. Here’s what Toptracer had to say about the partnership (via TGL) :

” We’ve been relentlessly collaborating with TGL over the past two years on how to deliver the best fan experience, with all our learnings from broadcasting golf’s biggest moments, our 1,000+ strong network of golf facility operators across the globe—including Topgolf, the biggest off course operator—and golf governing partners. As leaders in modern golf, we’re excited to be part of this groundbreaking format and deliver a new way for fans to be engaged with the sport. ”TGL League – Teams and Players Explored
