Billionaire Elon Musk sells his last house, rents for $50,000

The world’s richest billionaire Elon Musk has recently officially found a new owner for his last real estate block. Thus, the Tesla boss has truly become “homeless” and is currently renting a 36m2 house near the headquarters of the aerospace company SpaceX in Texas, USA.

Billionaire Elon Musk sells his last mansion, rents a house for $50,000.

The villa, which has just been sold, is nearly 1,500 square meters wide, located on Crystal Springs Road in Hillsborough (California, USA), and is mainly rented out for events.

In June, billionaire Elon Musk listed the mansion on Twitter for $37.5 million, then reduced the price to $31.99 million in October, and finally sold it for $30 million, according to real estate listing site MLS.com. The identity of the buyer has not been made public.

While America’s top billionaires like Amazon boss Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates spend a lot of money accumulating real estate, the owner of electric car company Tesla announced that he will sell all his houses to focus on his ambition of building a city on Mars.

“This is for freedom, I don’t need cash. I’m dedicated to Mars and Earth. What you own will only crush you. Wealth makes people feel depressed. After selling the assets, others will stop attacking, and I will consider renting in the future,” Elon Musk explained his decision.

Elon Musk first announced plans to sell his home and most of his possessions more than a year ago, as a way to counter criticism of his wealth. Over the past 13 months, Elon Musk has sold seven mansions worth a total of $114 million.

Before selling his last house, Elon Musk moved into a rented house near the headquarters of the aerospace company SpaceX in Texas, USA.

What is special is that this is a prefabricated house made of concrete and steel, with simple interior, measuring 6m on each side, weighing about 5 tons. The house was built by the company Boxabl Casita, worth about 50,000 USD.

Billionaire Elon Musk is currently the richest person in the world with a fortune of 267 billion USD. Previously, on November 4, billionaire Elon Musk’s net worth reached the milestone of 340 billion USD, making him the richest person in human history. However, this huge fortune quickly decreased shortly after.
