Elon Musk’s mom tells followers to use ‘10 fake names’ to vote —which her son’s site X flags as ‘illegal’

Elon Musk’s mom has been accused of urging people to commit voter fraud — with her own son’s social media site, X, flagging her post as “illegal.”

Maye Musk, 76, posted her outrageous comments in response to her billionaire son telling his followers it was “super important to get all your friends and family to register to vote.”

“The Democrats have given us another option. You don’t have to register to vote.,” Maye Musk told her 1.1 million followers on her son’s platform.

“On Election Day, have 10 fake names, go to 10 polling booths and vote 10 times. That’s 100 votes, and it’s not illegal. Maybe we should work the system too,” she wrote.

The post, seen more than 6.6 million times by Monday morning, was quickly flagged by her son’s site.

“This is, in fact, illegal,” X said in a community note, along with a link to the US Code that states voting more than once intentionally is federally prohibited.

Social media users, including numerous lawyers, were quick to call out the Tesla founder’s mother for promoting voter fraud.

“That is illegal. Do you have any credible evidence Democrats are engaging in that practice?” one lawyer wrote in response.

Another lawyer chimed in: “This tweet constitutes the solicitation of a crime and is in itself a fully completed criminal act. If at least one person acts on your solicitation, you could also be charged with conspiracy. You should retract this tweet immediately.”

“Hey @FBI please take a look here, it’s a crime in progress,” one social media user wrote.”

Another person joked, “Great idea, Maye. I think you should film yourself doing this and post it.”
