Billionaire Elon Musk continues to give $1 million/day to American voters

A judge in Pennsylvania said that billionaire Elon Musk can continue to give $1 million to American voters every day.

On November 4, Judge Angelo Foglietta in the US state of Pennsylvania decided to allow billionaire Elon Musk to continue his program of donating $1 million a day to voters in “battleground” states, despite legal objections from prosecutors in Philadelphia.

The decision was made just one day before the tense US presidential election between Vice President Kamala Harris – the Democratic presidential candidate – and former President Donald Trump – the Republican candidate.

Musk’s voter giveaway has been controversial since its inception. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner argued that the program violated Pennsylvania’s consumer protection laws and was an “illegal lottery.” But Judge Angelo Foglietta allowed Musk to continue the program after lawyers for the pro-Trump campaign group America PAC (founded by Musk) argued that the donations were not prizes, but compensation for people chosen to represent Trump’s political group.

The donors were selected from a group of candidates who had appeared in America PAC videos and agreed to let the group use their images, after reviewing their social media profiles and meeting them outside of events, according to America PAC Director Chris Young.

Billionaire Elon Musk is currently one of the strongest supporters of Mr. Trump returning to the White House. The above-mentioned voter giveaway program is being conducted in 7 “battleground” states including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Voters participating must sign a petition supporting free speech and the right to own guns.

Musk has pledged nearly $120 million to America PAC, which supports voter registration and advocacy, while those who participate in the giveaway will have the chance to receive a daily payout of $1 million if they sign a petition and campaign to return Trump to the White House.
