Anne Hathaway will get to showcase her musical talents in her next project.

The actress, 40, who stunned in a classic black gown at the Hollywood Beauty Awards earlier this month, will star as a pop star in the melodrama Mother Mary.

Michaela Cole, 35, will star as an iconic fashion designer and the film will focus on the relationship between the two women, according to Deadline.

The film will be shot in Germany.

Anne won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Fantine in the 2012 musical Les Misérables.

Anne will be seen next in Eileen, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January and in She Came to Me, which opened the Berlin Film Festival in February.

While promoting her WeCrashed series on The Kelly Clarkson Show in March 2022, Anne beat the American Idol winner in a game of Sing That Name That Tune.

She captured the crown when she instantly guessed the song in question and belted out the chorus from Kelly’s hit Since U Been Gone.

Michaela made headlines as Aneka in the the Oscar winning Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The talented star won a writing Emmy for I May Destroy You, the series she created for HBO.

Michaela will appear in the upcoming Mr. and Mrs. Smith starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine.

The series, which is based on the 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as two married spies, is scheduled to debut later this year.
