During the podcast, when talking about Mr. T’s aura, Hunter Mahan shared an incident where they were chilling at the range with everybody just before the tournament, but for him what happened next was “intimidating.” Following the conversation he shared the incident, stating, “This car pulls up, he (Tiger Woods) gets out. He’s got his balls Stevie goes in the back and grabs the clubs and everyone on the range players, caddies, spectators, ourselves. We watched him get out of the car, walk over with the bag, just put the balls down, take like his deep breath and he kind of pulls his glove out and everyone’s watching him.”
Further sharing, he said until Woods started hitting wedges, everyone was stuck watching him. Even Mahan’s caddie couldn’t stop himself and said to him, “My caddie looks at me and goes I don’t care who you are that was intimidating.” Mahan said, “It was the weirdest thing.”
While further adding to it and praising him by sharing more during the podcast, he said, “He walked out of the car like he was the Hulk and he was like boys you got no chance today. I have never seen anything like it, I don’t know how to explain it.” Be it fans or players, watching Tiger Woods is just pure delight which can’t be matched by anything. The legend had also in one instance shared about himself as well.
The way we see Woods in the field is nothing but pure respect and the highest competition for the game and even he isn’t denying that. During an interview with Reuters, Woods shared about his competitive side of the game. While his presence in the game is unavoidable, even his resilience on the course is also unmatched. He shared during the interview, “Golf is something I do selfishly for myself. I have a competitive side and that’s how I express it. But, as far as my tombstone is concerned, hopefully it will read something more of what I am trying to do for kids. That would be so much more ultimate than winning any golf tournament.”
Further adding about what is more joyous than a win. He shared, “The joy I get from winning a major championship doesn’t even compare to the feeling I get when a kid writes a letter saying: ‘Thank you so much. You have changed my life.’” His exceptional career, aura, mentality, and many more qualities have helped him reach a height that no other player could possibly match.
