Tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf’s daughter Jaz stepped into the spotlight as she attended the Crypto.com Showdown at the prestigious Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 18, 2024. The exhibition saw PGA Tour stars Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy take home an impressive $10 million in cryptocurrency.

The Crypto.com Showdown brought together four of the golf world’s biggest names in a thrilling exhibition. The format featured three distinct match-play segments—four-ball (best ball), alternate shot, and singles—and Scheffler and McIlroy dominated every round, leaving no room for their opponents Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau to catch up.

During the Crypto.com Showdown, Jaz posted an Instagram story featuring Scheffler in action, offering her followers a front-row view of the exhibition.

While her brother, Jaden, pursues a career in professional baseball, Jaz has developed a passion for recreational golf, often sharing snippets of her leisurely swings and outings on Instagram. Known for maintaining a low profile, the 21-year-old occasionally delights her followers with glimpses of her life beyond her family’s celebrated tennis legacy.

In a May 2011 interview with Fox Sports, Steffi Graf shared that she and her husband, Andre Agassi, chose not to push their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, Jaden and Jaz, toward tennis.

Graf noted that their son, Jaden, never seriously took up tennis, experimenting with various sports before committing to baseball. Meanwhile, their daughter, Jaz, dabbled in tennis but didn’t pursue it extensively.

“Jaz plays a little bit of tennis, Jaden not so much. We never really introduced tennis so much into their lives. They’ve chosen other things that we were surprised with … they love their arts and music. Jaden tried different sports, soccer and things and ended up with baseball. We nurture their desires and interests,” Graf said.

In the same interview, Agassi remarked that he and Graf had grown weary of what they referred to as a “weird sport.”

“Tennis? I just think we’ve had enough, quite honestly. It’s a weird sport. We don’t see too many second-generation players. For us, it’s about raising our 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren in a way we can share in their life and not always worry about their life,” Andre Agassi said.

Jaz Agassi reignited her passion for tennis earlier this year by upgrading her home gym with new tennis equipment. She added a Playmate tennis ball launcher, a popular tool for practicing tennis shots, to her setup.
