Bow Wow, 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 Shad Moss, is more than a rapper, actor and entrepreneur — he’s also a proud dad to a multi-talented daughter.

In 2011, Bow Wow welcomed his daughter, Shai Moss, with his then-girlfriend, dancer Joie Chavis. The daughter of two talented parents, Shai hasn’t shied away from the spotlight, trying her hand at acting, dancing and comedy.

Following in her dad’s footsteps, Shai made her acting debut on Nickelodeon in 2021. She’s also known for cracking up Chavis’ TikTok followers with impressions of her mom and coordinating dances with her, too.

Bow Wow has also used social media to share his pride for his daughter.

“My world!!!!! My everything only thing that matters,” the rapper captioned an Instagram post with Shai, in which she wears a T-shirt featuring a graphic of her dad as a young rapper.

Shai Moss was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 on April 27, 2011. She is both Bow Wow and mom Joie Chavis’ first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, though both of her parents have since welcomed more 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren with other partners.

Shai’s parents went all out for her 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day in 2022, throwing her a big, colorful party.

“Happy 11th B-Day to my beautiful 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl! You getting older and keep getting flyer! The world is yours,” Bow Wow wrote in an Instagram post of him and Shai at a 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day dinner, smiling. “Bday party this weekend. Shai told me she bringing the city out ,” he added.

Chavis shared photos from the big party, featuring a beautiful pastel three-tier cake and color-coordinated floral arrangements and balloons.

“Man I wish my bday was this lit when I was 11,” Chavis wrote in her caption.

Like his daughter, Bow Wow got his start acting as a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, making his debut in the 2002 film Like Mike. His acting career saw him join the Fast & Furious franchise as Twinkie in 2006’s Tokyo Drift, appearing again in 2021’s F9: The Fast Saga.

He brought Shai to the premiere of F9, posting a photo of the two of them and alluding to her future career in acting.

“Fast 9 premiere!!!! Yo @_shaimoss daddy gone show you how to do this so when its your turn, dad can kick his feet up ❤️,” he wrote.

Shai Moss made her acting debut in 2021 on the Nickelodeon show Side Hustle. She also starred in A Screenshot to Santa. In April 2021, Shai shared a behind-the-scenes look at one of her scenes in the movie, captioning the video: “Set Life.”

Bow Wow discussed Shai’s start in acting with Baller Alert. “It was a lot for her,” he said, talking about the pressures of auditioning and acting classes.

“I’m like, ‘Listen, you know you’re not forced to do this,’ ” Bow Wow said he told Shai. “You can catch on to this later in life. Go to school, be a kid, and have your fun, because those are the things that I didn’t have.’ ”

With a professional dancer as her mom, it makes sense that Shai inherited some dancing s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s. She makes plenty of appearances dancing alongside her mom on her TikTok account.

“Hittin it’ w/ my bestie ,” Chavis captioned a video where Shai takes the lead in a choreographed dance they performed together.

Shai doesn’t just dance with mom, though. She and dad Bow Wow are known to have their own dance-offs and Shai isn’t afraid to make fun of her dad’s dancing s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s. On an Instagram Live that Bow Wow hosted with his daughter, she made fun of his dance moves in his “Let Me Hold You” video from 2005.

She’s also joined her dad onstage at concerts to help him perform his hit songs. She shared a video on her Instagram of her performing “Like You,” Bow Wow’s 2005 duet with ex-girlfriend Ciara, with her dad dancing and singing along.

“You know the whole song?” Bow Wow asked her, surprised, before he handed her the microphone to sing it herself.

Shai has a very close relationship with Chavis, showcased in not just their choreographed dance videos together, but also in comedic videos where they tease each other.

For her mom’s 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day in September 2022, Shai posted a video of the two of them dancing to a Beyoncé song on her Instagram account, writing: “Happy 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day to my best friend! I love you! Thank you for putting me in this world. I am so grateful for you, you deserve the world. I Love You Mommy.”

Another sweet post from Shai’s Instagram, captioned “Besties ,” features her and Chavis doing a cute dance to a popular TikTok song about best friends, ending the routine by making a heart together with their hands.

Just like her dad, Shai is multi-talented. Not just an actress and dancer, she loves to make funny videos showing off her comedy chops.

Shai often reposts funny skits from her mom’s TikTok on her Instagram account, including one where Shai lip-syncs to a popular Regina George monologue from Mean Girls, captioned: “When my mom snaps on me then wants to be nice.”

But her mom isn’t the only butt of her jokes — Bow Wow gets teased, too.

In January 2022, Shai posted a clip of her acting out a funny scene from Madea’s Family Reunion that features her dad’s character, Byron, arguing with his ex-girlfriend Sabrina, played by Teyana Taylor. “My dads gonna 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 me,” she wrote alongside the video.

In 2020, Bow Wow spoke to PEOPLE about his time on The Masked Singer, mentioning that Shai loved the show and that she was able to keep his identity hidden.

“With my daughter, it was tough because she’s already a fan of the show. She was going to watch season 3 even if Daddy wasn’t on it. One thing about her, she’s very loyal and she never told anyone,” Bow Wow said.

“Grandma and Grandma [were] guessing me. She would just be like, ‘Believe what you want to believe, Grandma.’ I was proud of her. She’s really me. I’m Big Bow Wow finally. That’s Lil Bow Wow,” he added.

Bow Wow’s ex-girlfriend, model Olivia Sky, gave 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to their son, Stone Gemariah Moss, on June 23, 2020.

In April 2021, Bow Wow posted and later deleted a photo of Shai and Stone together on his Instagram. In the photo, Stone, not yet a year old at the time, sits in big sister Shai’s lap.

“IT’S BEEN DADDY DAY CARE EVERY DAY OF THIS MONTH,” Bow Wow captioned the photo.

“Big shout out to all the single parents out there … I now know what it feels like shout out to their moms they do such a wonderful job. I’m blessed to have them in my life,” he continued.

Shai is also an older sister to Hendrix Wilburn, Chavis’ son with ex-boyfriend Future. Hendrix was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 on Dec. 14, 2018. Chavis often posts photos of her son and daughter together, including a 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day roundup post for Shai’s 12th.
