Marvel Studios is gearing up for one of its most unique MCU entries with Thunderbolts, a film that assembles a group of fan-favorite antiheroes and morally complex characters for an explosive new adventure. Harrison Ford makes his MCU debut as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, now serving as U.S. President, while Steven Yeun’s addition in a mysterious, pivotal role hints at connections to Marvel’s expanding cosmic storylines.
Set after Captain America: Brave New World, the story follows the Thunderbolts as they are tasked with dismantling an illegal weapons cartel linked to rogue government factions. However, the covert mission quickly unravels, revealing dangerous secrets that threaten to tear the team apart. Themes of redemption, loyalty, and the blurred lines between hero and villain drive the narrative, as each character confronts their dark past while fighting for their uncertain future.
