He captioned it: “Canāt wait for the little rookie to join our family soon!”
Ohtani and his pregnant wifeĀ Mamiko TanakaĀ keep their relationship out of the spotlight.
Mamiko, 28, is a formerĀ basketballĀ player in the couple’s homeland of Japan.
The duo tied the knot earlier this year in aĀ secret ceremony.
Ohtani did not initially reveal who he had married before finally confirming it was Mamiko.
The exciting family news comes at the end of a stunning year for the man nicknamed Shotime.
He signed a ten-year contract with the Dodgers worth a record $700million and fired them to World Series glory.
Ohtani, who has recentlyĀ undergone surgeryĀ on his shoulder, also won his third Most Valuable Player award.
