The Baby singer’s musical comeback was rumored after artist Mk.gee revealed to The New York Times that he had written and recorded several songs with Justin Bieber. Mk.gee commented that Justin Bieber was looking for a change after asserting his position at the top of the pop genre.

Justin Bieber’s most recent studio album was Justice , released in 2021. The album was critically acclaimed and spawned several commercial hits, including Peaches (which topped the Billboard Hot 200) and top 10 hits Holy , Anyone , and Ghost .

In February 2023, Justin Bieber officially canceled the remainder of his Justice World Tour after announcing he had Ramsay Hunt syndrome – a disease that can lead to facial paralysis. Previously, in 2022, the 9X male singer also had to cancel a number of shows for the same reason.
