The Japanese player is an example of the good atmosphere in the Dodgers’ camp ahead of the 2025 season.
The good atmosphere at the Los Angeles Dodgers is palpable, and ahead of a new season in MLB, the players demonstrate the good unity that exists in the team, as well as with their manager, Dave Roberts.
The Los Angeles Dodgers manager recently commented that he wanted a new car, a Porsche, to be exact, and the Japanese baseball player Shohei Ohtani, wanted to get along with a manager, so he bought him the car and the brand that Roberts had asked for.
Only that the model was not exactly what the Dodgers manager expected.
Ohtani gives his manager a Porsche
After leaving practice, Dave Roberts arrived in the parking lot and saw that in his place was not his car, but a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren’s car, but of course, Porsche brand, just as he had wanted.
“Shohei is behind this, right? He caught me. Is it a joke? I said I wanted a new car, so Shohei came and gave it to me,” Roberts said when he saw the Japanese player’s joke.

It all started when Roberts asked Ohtani for a new Porsche, but he didn’t expect it to be delivered so soon, even if it was as a toy. While Roberts accepted his defeat this time, he challenged Ohtani to outdo him.
Ohtani is the face of baseball in the world, and is recognized as a player of great quality both on and off the diamond, and among his teammates he is also recognized for his discipline to work and his dedication in each game.
The slugger had promised his manager that he would give him a new car when he broke the home run record for a Japanese player, which was held by Dave Roberts, and he kept his word, in a way.
Dodgers favorites to reach 2025 World Series
The Dodgers, the current Major League Baseball champions, are considered the best team for the new season that begins in March. The depth of their pitching rotation and the presence of big names make them unbeatable.

The team maintains the same core that made them champions in 2024, and added some key pieces such as Japanese phenom Roki Sasaki, who joins the pitching staff.
It is possible that Shohei Ohtani is not yet physically ready to pitch from day one, but his recovery is on schedule and he will be ready soon.
Fans will be able to witness Ohtani’s two-way s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s after a two-year hiatus. Until then, Ohtani will be the Dodgers’ designated hitter, just as he was in the previous season with great results for him and the team.
