Celest Afriyie Hamilton, a 23-year-old Lady from Ghana has achieved an outstanding feat after graduating from university using the funds earned from cloth sales.
Celest Afriyie Hamilton graduated from the University of Ghana, West Africa, with an outstanding first-class degree in English Education. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Celest frequently transformed from being a student to being a market seller.
According to her, she needed to improve her finances to scale through her university education. In a video shared on TikTok, she showcased her efforts while selling second-hand clothes in a market.
Despite her frequent transition from studentship to market seller, Celest did not lose ground on academic excellence, she graduated with the top-most grade in the university – a feat many people around the world have found commendable.
“I’m so proud of you stranger,” a well wisher named Adrina commented on her TikTok page.
Following her graduation from the University of Ghana with a first-class, Celest was appointed as a Teaching Assistant in the university’s English department. Through her diligent work, she was able to secure sponsorship to study in the United States.
Celest moved to California in the United States and is set to earn her Masters and PhD degrees. In addition to her exceptional academic talent, Celeste is also a talented braider and has successfully opened a plush beauty salon in her community.
In 2023, she was Ghana’s Most Beautiful contestant who represented the Eastern Region in the country’s beauty contest.
