Ryan Reynolds Makes His First Public Appearance Since Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Legal Bat 2025

Ryan Reynolds made a notable return to the public eye at the National Board of Review Awards in New York City, marking his first appearance since his wife, Blake Lively, filed a lawsuit against her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. Dressed in a stylish light gray suit with dark gray lapels, paired with a crisp white shirt and black dress shoes, Reynolds turned heads and showcased his signature charm with brown reading glasses, embodying sophistication amid personal turmoil.

The star-studded event was a celebration of cinema, where Reynolds mingled with fellow celebrities, including the cast of “Wicked”—Ariana Grande, Ethan Slater, Cynthia Erivo, and Michelle Yeoh, alongside director Jon M. Chu. Taking the stage to present an award, he shared the spotlight with other notable presenters like Robert Pattinson and Jesse Eisenberg, demonstrating his ability to balance personal challenges with professional obligations.

Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni has garnered significant media attention, stemming from allegations of 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual harassment and misconduct during the filming of their 2024 movie, adapted from Colleen Hoover’s popular novel. Lively claims that Baldoni’s actions caused her substantial emotional distress and financial loss, leading to a comprehensive complaint filed with the California Civil Rights Department in December 2024. Following this, she expanded her claims into a federal lawsuit, alleging that Baldoni orchestrated a smear campaign to tarnish her reputation.

In response, Baldoni has filed a $250 million countersuit against The New York Times, claiming the publication defamed him with a biased article based on manipulated evidence. His accusations have been met with a strong denial from the Times, which maintains its reporting was thorough and accurate, based on extensive original documents. Lively’s attorney has dismissed Baldoni’s countersuit as unfounded, asserting it does not undermine her allegations.

As the legal saga unfolds, public interest remains high, with many closely watching the developments of this significant case involving high-profile figures. Ryan Reynolds’ appearance at the awards not only reflects his support for Lively but also underscores the intricate interplay of personal and professional lives in the spotlight. As the situation evolves, the outcomes of the lawsuits and their implications for all parties involved remain to be seen.
