Kevin Durant Is At It Again, Calls NBA Insider A ‘P***y’ In Leaked DMs After Arguing With The Fans

On the court, nobody can argue that Kevin Durant is not one of the five best players in the game right now. In Phoenix, with new team owner Mat Ishbia going all-in, there’s a good chance Durant is about to embark on his best season yet.

In the meantime, however, KD isn’t going to just sit back and let the media spread its narrative. This week, he battled it out with NBA analyst Jason McIntyre after he called out the Suns star for constantly waging war against the fans on Twitter. On his podcast, McIntyre revealed screenshots of messages from Durant himself that called him a “p****y” and a “broke boy.”

“Once you say something nice about someone, they reply ‘okay I see you.’ Then when you say something not so nice, you get this… [reads messages from Durant]. I’m a Kevin Durant guy. You can like someone and totally disagree with something they’re doing. Are we really at the state where you have to be 100% behind somebody or 100% against somebody? It doesn’t work like that.”

It wasn’t that long ago when KD captivated the sports world with his brilliant MVP speech. Back then, he was a widely beloved and treasured superstar who was still viewed as a hero in the eye of the fans.

But after his move to the Warriors, something changed in Durant and his reaction to any criticism (online or in person) became much more aggressive. Now, in Phoenix, KD has cooled off somewhat from his peak trolling days but he still frequently exchanges blows with people on the internet and one could argue that it is a distraction at times.

Will KD Ever Change His Social Media Activity?

It’s rare for a player as good as Durant to waste so much of his time with his own haters but Durant has never been apologetic about his Twitter history. In his eyes, he’s only setting the record straight for his biggest haters.

“You think you are helping your cause, by debating this with random dudes on the internet, you’re hurting it, that’s what you are doing,” said McIntyre on Durant. “Michael Jordan doesn’t jump in the comments section, Stephen Curry doesn’t give a rat’s a** what these guys on the internet are saying, about whether he’s a Top 10 guy or not, Kevin Durant… let your resume speak for itself.”

At this point, we can’t expect KD to change his approach to social media, but he’s never let any of the talking affect his game. Whether it’s with the Thunder, Nets, or Suns, Durant always delivers when it counts and he never shies away from the big moments.
